De film, over een familie die worstelt met economische problemen, was verboden in Iran. De film was in competitie voor de Palme d&#8217;Or en won dat jaar de FIPRESCI prijs op het festival.<br><br>Roustaee en zijn producent Java&#8217;s Noruzbegi werden schuldig bevonden aan &#8220;het bijdragen aan propaganda van de oppositie tegen het islamitische systeem&#8221;. De film werd verboden nadat hij &#8220;de regels overtrad door zonder toestemming deel te nemen aan internationale filmfestivals&#8221; en de regisseur weigerde de film te &#8220;corrigeren&#8221; zoals gevraagd werd door het ministerie van Cultuur.
