Dahl en Neal proberen elk op hun eigen manier het zware verlies te verwerken. Dahl sluit zich meer en meer af van zijn familie terwijl de eenzame Neal de draad van haar carri\u00e8re opnieuw probeert op te pikken. En Neal wint een Oscar voor Beste Actrice voor haar rol als Alma Brown in Martin Ritts <em>Hud<\/em> naast Paul Newman en Melvyn Douglas.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gebaseerd op de biografie over <em>Patricia Neal, An Unquiet Life<\/em> van Stephen Michael Shearer, brengt regisseur John Hay het ondraaglijke verdriet om het verlies van een kind ontroerend in beeld.
